In the heart of the Alta Maremma the eye lights upon a scene of rare beauty, where the shadows of age-old woodlands sweep gradually into the green of the meadows and flower-filled gardens incline gently down toward the winding banks of the River Ombrone. The horizon is dominated by the bulk of Mount Amiata, the famous "Brunello" vineyards and the mediaeval town of Paganico.
The impressive building standing proudly in the centre of this unspoilt natural environment is the Relais Santa Genoveffa, a skilful conversion retaining the original characteristics of the typical XVIII century Maremma farmhouse it once was.
